House committee supports stiffening penalties for Tawjihi violations

AMMAN — The Lower House Education and Youth Committee supports stiffening penalties against all those who violate the regulations of Tawjihi (the General Secondary Education Certificate Examination), head of the committee Taleb Sarairah MP said on Wednesday. Attending the meeting of the committee, Education Ministry Secretary General for Educational and Technical Affairs Nawwaf Ajarmeh said that 375 cheating attempts with the use of mobile phones were detected during the recently held Tawjihi session, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. Ajarmeh said that Tawjihi regulations allow students who are late for up to three minutes to enter the examination halls, otherwise late students cannot sit for the exams.
