His Majesty meets army top brass

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF), returned home on Thursday following a private visit, a Royal Court statement announced.
On the same day, he paid a visit to the army headquarters.
Part of the visit involved official business. The King met with leading US and world economic figures as he participated in the Economic Forum recently held at Sun Valley, Idaho.
The two sides reviewed aspects of economic cooperation with Jordan and ways to benefit from investment incentives and opportunities available in the Kingdom.
On the sidelines of his participation in the economic forum, King Abdullah also met with US Defence Secretary Ashton Carter and discussed the ongoing cooperation between Jordan and the US in military fields.
Upon his arrival in the Kingdom, King Abdullah visited the army headquarters, where he was received by Chairman of the Joint Chiefs-of-Staff Gen. Mashal Al Zaben, HRH Prince Feisal and top brass.
His Majesty met with Zaben, who is also the King's military adviser, and discussed several army-related issues.
King Abdullah voiced his confidence in the army, commending its advanced level of preparedness.
