His Majesty inaugurates King Abdullah II Park in Amman's Mugabalein area

Park built upon Royal directives to serve 1.2 million residents

AMMAN — His Majesty King Abdullah on Wednesday inaugurated the King Abdullah II Park, established in Mugabalein area upon Royal directives to serve 1.2 million residents of east and south Amman, as well as adjacent areas.

During a tour of the park, built on an area of more than 500 dunums, King Abdullah was given a summary about the park, according to a Royal Court statement. 

The tour included a visit to some of the park’s facilities, during which His Majesty spoke to a number of citizens who expressed appreciation for the King's attention to public spaces, the statement said.

Moreover, His Majesty was briefed by Amman Mayor Yousef Shawarbeh on the park, who highlighted the project as one of the Greater Amman Municipality’s largest parks designed to be family friendly, free of cars and accessible for people with disabilities.

Royal Hashemite Court Chief Yousef Issawi, Adviser to His Majesty for Communication and Coordination Bisher Al Khasawneh, and Adviser to His Majesty for Policies and Media Kamal Al Nasser accompanied His Majesty.
