Higher Council for Science, Technology secretary general appointed

AMMAN — A Royal Decree was issued on Sunday appointing Dia Ad Din Arafeh as secretary general of the Higher Council for Science and Technology.
Arafeh has previously held many academic and administrative positions, the most prominent of which was as president of Al al-Bayt University for four years, before which he was vice president of the University of Jordan for three years.
Arafeh holds a PhD in Applied Physics/Solid State from the University of Sussex in the United Kingdom, which he earned in 1984, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
