Health workers to receive monthly bonuses for efforts amid pandemic, Jaber says

AMMAN — Minister of Health Saad Jaber on Monday announced that a few weeks ago, the Cabinet decided to disburse monthly bonuses for health personnel in appreciation of their “tireless work and tremendous efforts” during the Kingdom’s fight against the coronavirus pandemic.
Jaber stressed in a statement that the government “prioritises the health sector and supports the exceptional efforts of medical and nursing personnel”, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
He described medical and nursing personnel as “the first line of defence in the battle against COVID-19, and the basis in protecting the health and safety of the nation’s people in line with the foremost priorities that His Majesty King Abdullah always stresses”.
