Health Ministry pursues legal action against assaulters of doctors

AMMAN — The Ministry of Health on Saturday said it is following legal procedures against assaulters who attacked two doctors at Prince Hamzah Hospital and Al Bashir Hospital while on duty, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The ministry stressed that it will not tolerate any case of assault on its staff, underlining that it will exert efforts to preserve their staff’s full rights and ensure their protection in all facilities affiliated with the ministry.
The number of attacks on medical personnel has declined in the recent period, the ministry noted, underlining its commitment to eliminating this phenomenon and preventing its occurrence. The ministry condemned these violations which defy laws and Jordanian customs and traditions, expressing appreciation towards the medical staff’s dedication.
