Health inspectors destroy 8 tonnes of rotten rice in Irbid

AMMAN – Authorities in Irbid destroyed eight tonnes of rotten rice on Tuesday at a shopping mall in the city, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Wednesday.
Hayel Obeidat, the director general of the Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA), commended the mall administration’s cooperation and added that the JFDA has carried out 1,000 inspections during the first 10 days of Ramadan.
On Wednesday, the inspection committee at the Ajloun health department destroyed 174kg of frozen meat that was not fit for human consumption.
