HCD signs agreement with DoS

AMMAN — Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (HCD) and the Department of Statistics (DoS) on Monday signed a cooperation agreement with the aim of accessing accurate data and statistical indicators on matters related to disabilities and data related to people with disabilities and their families. HH Prince Mired, HCD president, and DoS Director General Shaher Shawabkeh signed the agreement, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. Prince Mired highlighted the importance of providing the necessary data, referring to the significance of surveys to identify information and data concerned with people with disabilities and meeting their demands. Shawabkeh expressed the readiness of the department, in its capacity as the institution authorised with providing this data to cooperate with the HCD and provide the council with all the required data and statistics.
