AMMAN — Public Works Minister Sami Halaseh on Monday visited the construction sites of the new Judicial Institute of Jordan building and a care centre for orphaned girls, according to a ministry statement. The new headquarters for the institute is being built on a 6,300-square-metre land in Amman. The green project is funded by a JD7.85 million EU grant, the statement said.

The 2,400-square-metre welfare centre, which is being erected under a Royal initiative, is situated in the Khalda area in Amman. The JD900,000-project is expected to be ready by the end of the year, according to the statement. Halaseh said the centre will be of “significant value” to the Social Development Ministry in providing care for young orphaned women.
