Gov’t to announce mega projects during Independence Day celebrations

AMMAN — The government, in coincidence with the celebrations of the independence day, will announce a number of mega projects, including the National Water Carrier project, to mark the Kingdom's bicentennial, Minister of State for Media Affairs Faisal Shboul said on Sunday.
During an interview on Roya TV, Shboul, who is also the government spokesperson, said that the government has managed to ensure the majority of funding for the $3 billion National Water Carrier Project, noting that the general academic hospital, funded by the Saudi Jordanian Investment Fund, the railway project between Aqaba and Madounah, and the New City strategic project will be announced as well.
These mega projects would revive the economy and create jobs, he noted, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
