Gov’t, WHO sign bilateral agreement for 2018–2019

AMMAN — Health Minister Mahmoud Sheyyab and World Health Organisation (WHO) representative in Jordan Maria Cristina Profili on Wednesday signed a bilateral agreement for 2018–2019, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Sheyyab said that the agreement will establish an organised institutional plan for the ministry’s health programmes and key objectives. Profili said that the organisation appreciates the health achievements and level of services in Jordan. and will continue to enhance cooperation and support to achieve the goals of sustainable development and the desired results.
The bilateral agreement focuses on technical and financial support of health programmes related to communicable and non-communicable diseases, strengthening the health system, crisis management and health emergencies.
