Gov’t, EU mission sign election monitoring agreement

AMMAN — The Foreign Ministry, on behalf of the government, and the EU mission in Jordan on Monday signed a memorandum of understanding to facilitate the mission’s work in monitoring the September 20 parliamentary elections.
Under the memo, the government will coordinate with the Independent Election Commission to facilitate the job of the 110-member EU mission, in accordance with Jordanian laws, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
