AMMAN — The German International Cooperation Agency (GIZ) has increased its contribution to support the labour sector in Jordan through launching several job-generating projects, the Planning and International Cooperation Ministry said in a statement on Sunday.
Among the projects is the Enhanced Productivity Programme (EPP), implemented between 2016 and 2019, that aims to create 4,000 jobs in Karak, Irbid and Balqa.
The plan also seeks to create small-sized projects in partnership with effective stakeholders. Dajani Consultants Company was tasked with implementing a detailed study for EPP, under which the programmes’ requirements would be set, the statement added.
