AMMAN — The Ministry of Political and Parliamentary Affairs signed a memorandum of understanding on Tuesday with the German Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) to expand cooperation, the FES said in a statement.
Joint activities will focus on decentralisation, the 2017 municipal elections and youth political participation, as well as capacity building for ministry staff, the foundation said.
The ministry and FES will organise a conference on decentralisation ahead of the 2017 elections, the foundation said, and will design a strategy for inclusion, participation and awareness to be implemented at the start of 2017, FES said.
