Gendarmerie chief, Tunisian ambassador discuss cooperation

AMMAN — Director General of the Gendarmerie Department Maj. Gen. Hussein Hawatmeh and Tunisian Ambassador to Jordan Khalid Suhaili on Thursday discussed issues of mutual interest in the security field.
Hawatmeh referred to the “strong relations” between the Gendarmerie Department and the Tunisian National Guard, highlighting the importance of enhancing cooperation between the two sides, mainly at the training and technical levels, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
For his part, Suhaili commended the good reputation of the Gendarmerie Department at the local and international levels, expressing his country’s keenness to further enhance ties between the department and its Tunisian counterpart.
