AMMAN — The Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) said on Thursday it will remove any signs or posters that violate the rules on election advertising.
GAM has announced the 2016 regulations and conditions for election advertising, which state that every list must appoint a representative to ensure the campaign abides by the rules, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The municipality has also requested that every list sign a pledge and deposit JD2,000 to guarantee compliance with the regulations. GAM personnel monitor signs and posters to check that they do not obstruct traffic.
