AMMAN — The State Security Court (SSC) Attorney General Brig. Gen. Hazem Majali on Thursday issued a gag order restricting the publication of any news related to the tobacco case, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The gag order includes restricting the publication of any information that interferes with the investigation proceedings or mentioning the names of those related to the tobacco case, in order to preserve the confidentiality of the ongoing investigation and ensure that those who do not abide by the gag order be subject to legal accountability.
The tobacco case, for which an investigation was initiated by the public prosecutor at the SSC, is still ongoing.
