Freihat discusses military cooperation with Pakistani counterpart

AMMAN — Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Lt. Gen. Mahmoud Freihat on Tuesday met with his Pakistani counterpart Gen. Qamar Javed Bajwa to discuss means of joint cooperation and coordination, and ways to enhance bilateral ties on issues of interest to both armies.
Freihat highlighted the “deep-rooted relations” between the two countries and welcomed the opening of wider scopes of military cooperation between the Jordanian and Pakistani armies, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The Pakistani army chief praised the role of the Jordanian Armed Forces-Arab Army and its supportive stance towards Pakistan, calling for more coordination and cooperation in various military fields.
