AMMAN — The Foreign Ministry on Sunday issued a statement in which it outlined a timeline of the case of Jordanian student Aseel Hteibat, who has died recently in a Turkish hospital.
The ministry stressed that the embassy in Ankara acted according to standard procedures, noting that the government undertook all medical expenses there, after it was decided that the serious condition of the young man did not allow bringing him home during his sickness.
It also underlined that Hteibat’s body was brought to Jordan for burial at the expense of the state.
