FM, House committee members discuss regional developments

AMMAN — Members of the Lower House’s Foreign Affairs Committee and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi on Thursday overviewed the latest regional developments, specifically the Kingdom’s role in the Palestinian issue.
Head of the committee, Mirza Boulad, highlighted the importance of His Majesty King Abdullah’s visit to the US and meeting with President Joe Biden to discuss the two countries’ strategic ties, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Safadi acquainted the panel members with the Kingdom’s efforts to achieve regional stability and security and serve Arab causes.
Safadi also reviewed the Kingdom’s efforts to help Palestinians receive their legitimate rights and establish a sovereign and independent state on the pre-1967 lines with East Jerusalem as its capital, and to stop Israeli violations and attacks in the holy city and the rest of Palestinian territories.
