AMMAN — The first military field hospital at Prince Hashem Hospital in Zarqa commenced work on Monday, receiving the first COVID-19 case. The aim of the hospital is to enhance capacities of hospitals and the government in dealing with the pandemic.

Assistant Director General of the Royal Medical Services (RMS) for the Medical and Region Affairs Brig. Gen. Khasawneh said that the hospital, established on a 5,200-square-metre plot of land, was directly implemented by the Military Works and Housing directorate within 14 days and was equipped with all necessary equipment with a capacity of 300 beds, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
