Firefighters extinguish blaze in Zarqa clothes shop

AMMAN — Civil Defence Department (CDD) firefighters on Monday extinguished a fire in a clothes shop in Zarqa, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
CDD cadres controlled the fire in the New Zarqa area and stopped it from spreading to other shops, Petra reported, adding that there were no injuries and an investigation was initiated into the incident.
CDD firefighters also extinguished a fire in Kufranjah on Monday, which damaged 200 trees in the area, Petra reported. Ajloun CDD Director Col. Hani Smadi said firefighters controlled the blaze, which spread over an area of 5 dunums.
