Finance minister visits Customs Department

AMMAN — Finance Minister Mohamad Al-Ississ on Monday visited the Jordan Customs Department (JCD), where he was briefed on the progress and achievements of prominent development projects undertaken by the department. The minister was acquainted with the completion rates of each project and the procedures aimed at delivering optimal services to all stakeholders, in the best interest of the public, according to a JCD statement. He emphasised the significance of the decision to consolidate regulatory authorities at border centres and crossings, highlighting its role in facilitating trade operations. During the tour, JCD Director General Maj. Gen. Jalal Qudah discussed the major challenges faced by the department and the proposed solutions.
