Fifth MERS death reported in Jordan

AMMAN — Jordan on Tuesday registered the fifth Middle East Respiratory Syndrome-related death this year of a man in his fifties.
Mohammad Abdullat, director of the Health Ministry’s communicable disease control department, said the deceased, who also suffered from diabetes, heart problems and high blood pressure, had been admitted to a private hospital.
A total of eight cases were registered this year including this recent case; five have died.
