AMMAN — Senate President Faisal Al-Fayez on Thursday emphasised on the importance that His Majesty King Abdullah places on the youth of Jordan.
Speaking during the launch ceremony of the "Empowering Youth Leadership in Jordanian Badia Communities" project, implemented by the Thoria Studies Centre in partnership with the Australian Embassy in Amman, Fayez said that the King believes in young Jordanians' abilities to bring positive change and that they are the present and future pillars of the nation, according to the Jordan news Agency, Petra.
He added that investing in the role of youth requires providing a suitable economic and developmental environment to face the challenge of unemployment and creating motivational spaces for their creativity and entrepreneurship. The Australian ambassador to Amman Bernard Lynch noted that the project aims to invest in youth and enhance their role in local policies, communication and partnership in order to create a generation of local youth leaders in the Badia region.
