AMMAN — Senate President Faisal Fayez on Sunday met with Hungary’s ambassador to the Kingdom, Attila Kali, over the means to enhance and strengthen bilateral relations.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed regional developments, where Fayez referred to Jordan's firm stances towards the Palestinian cause, highlighting the necessity of solving it in accordance with international resolutions and the two-state solution, in a way that enables the Palestinian people to establish their independent state of Palestine, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Fayez called for the promotion of joint investments, increasing the volume of trade, and the removal of obstacles that hinder the development of economic relations.

Kali praised Jordan's “great role” in bringing peace to the region and the Kingdom’s care for Syrian refugees. He also noted that Jordan, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah, plays a pivotal and major role in ending conflicts and crises in the Middle East.
