Fayez holds talks with Saudi Council speaker

AMMAN — Senate President Faisal Fayez on Wednesday met Saudi Shura Council speaker Abdullah Al Sheikh and an accompanying delegation. Fayez emphasised the longstanding Jordanian-Saudi relations based on mutual respect and unceasing coordination. He highlighted the ongoing consultations between the two leaderships over issues of common interest, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
Fayez also drew attention to the need to build bilateral ties to further relations between the Senate and the Council,serving mutual interests whilst expressing appreciation for Saudi Arabia’s efforts in support of Jordan.
Commending the historical relations between the two kingdoms, Al Sheikh said that: “The Saudi delegation visit to Jordan is very important and will be different from the usual visits,” expressing his country’s readiness to spare no effort to enhance mutual relations.
Talks also went over the projects of the Saudi-Jordanian Investment Fund, with Al Sheikh stressing the importance of expanding economic partnerships, mainly by increasing the fund's allocations to support Jordan’s agriculture projects.
