Fayez, French envoy talk ties

AMMAN — Senate President Faisal Fayez and French Ambassador to Jordan Véronique Vouland on Tuesday discussed regional developments, notably the Palestinian cause, Syrian crisis and the repercussions of the COVID-19 pandemic.
During the meeting, Fayez highlighted the Kingdom's economic challenges resulting from regional crises, calling for support to fulfill Jordan’s humanitarian role towards Syrian refugees. He also emphasised the importance of increasing French investments in the Kingdom and optimising the Kingdom's investment environment, especially in the fields of education, religious and health tourism, transport among others, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The French diplomat lauded the Jordanian-French ties, stressing her country's keenness to enhance support to Amman.
