AMMAN — Interior Minister Mazen Faraya on Sunday honoured Hanin Al Jarhi, founder of the “Preserve Blessing” project, during a ceremony in Aqaba.
Faraya commended Jarhi’s efforts to launch the “groundbreaking” project, which aims to alleviate the hardships of underprivileged families and preserve their dignity by providing them with fresh and healthy food, rather than leftover food.
The project also promotes social solidarity and reduces environmental waste, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra. Faraya expressed his appreciation for the project’s “exceptional” level of planning, execution and unified teamwork demonstrated throughout the holy month of Ramadan. He also highlighted the successful collaboration between the public and private sectors, as the project entered its third consecutive year.
