AMMAN — The Education Ministry on Sunday announced the procedures to distribute the Royal makruma for school students, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. According to the makruma, every public school student will receive JD20, with a maximum of JD100 to be distributed to each family.
Parents who work in the military, security agencies, ministries and governmental institutions, civil, military and social security retirees and beneficiaries of national aid will receive the grant in their October salaries. All other Jordanian parents can collect the makruma at Housing Bank branches.
A committee from the education and finance ministries will study the cases of students whose parents are divorced or in prison.
