Fakhoury thanks Saudi Arabia for support

AMMAN — Planning Minister Imad Fakhoury on Thursday received Saudi Ambassador Sami Al Saleh and praised the deeply rooted ties shared by Amman and Riyadh.
Fakhoury stressed the importance of Saudi support for Jordan, which helps the Kingdom face economic and financial challenge.
He also expressed the government’s appreciation for Saudi Arabia’s $1.25 billion contribution to the Gulf Cooperation Council grant, allocated to fund development projects in the Kingdom.
Saleh expressed his country’s support for Jordan’s response plan to the Syrian crisis in 2015.
Jordan’s needs to deal with the issue have been estimated at $2.9 billion.
