AMMAN — Planning Minister Imad Fakhoury on Wednesday met with World Bank Director for the Middle East Ferid Belhaj to discuss present and future collaboration between Jordan and the World Bank.
Fakhoury said it is important to increase grants and technical support in light of recent events and the Syrian refugee crisis.
Discussions also addressed the bank’s systematic country diagnostic for Jordan, which is being implemented ahead of drafting the framework for its partnership with the Kingdom for the next four years.
Fakhoury said the framework will focus on supporting Jordan’s national priorities and addressing its challenges, based on the targets outlined in the 2025 vision.
