AMMAN — The EU-funded “Technical Assistance to the Skills for Employment and Social Inclusion Programme for Jordan” (TA SESIP) project on Monday held a workshop for more than 20 representatives from various institutions in Jordan.

The workshop, led by the German Agency for International Cooperation and held in Amman, focused on a monitoring and evaluation system for the technical and vocational education training (E-TVET) sector, according to an EU statement.

The aim of the workshop was to review a performance measurement report issued by the E-TVET secretariat using a new electronic performance measurement system, and to review the data provided by relevant institutions, in addition to identifying obstacles faced by the participants during the data entry process, the statement said.

“In the course of the workshop, the concerned stakeholders will review and validate the draft performance report for the year 2018 that has been prepared by the E-TVET secretariat with the data provided by each member institution,” said Luca Azzoni, team leader and governance expert for the TA SESIP.

The EU project aims to provide capacity development support, technical assistance, trainings for strengthening social dialogue and advisory for E-TVET line ministries and their related institutions, civil society organisations and social partners in the areas of governance, capacity building, quality assurance, curricula development and labour market management, according to the statement.
