EU-funded scholarship programme open for applications

AMMAN — The EDU-SYRIA/EDU-JORDAN programme, funded by the EU through the regional trust fund “Madad” in response to the Syrian crisis and managed by the German Jordanian University, announced on Monday that the door is now open for Jordanian candidates to apply for 150 scholarships to the Queen Rania Teacher Academy’s Teacher Education Professional Diploma for the upcoming academic year.
Scholarships for master’s degrees are also open for applications. The EDU-SYRIA/EDU-JORDAN programme is part of an EU-funded project to support higher education for Syrian refugees and vulnerable Jordanian youth with opportunities to pursue higher education, vocational education, technical training, special entrepreneurial training and labour market-oriented courses, as well as summer programmes for high school students. The project has awarded over 1,800 scholarships so far and aims to provide a total of 3,000 scholarships.
The application period for the Teacher Education Professional Diploma will close on July 2, while submissions will close on July 9 for the master’s degree scholarships.
