Environment minister meets Green Climate Fund Chief Financial Officer

AMMAN — Environment Minister Muawieh Radaideh and the accompanying delegation met with the Green Climate Fund (GCF) Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer, Hong Paterson.
The meeting, held on the sidelines of the Conference of the Parties of the UNFCCC (COP27) in Egypt's Sharm El-Sheikh, covered ways of cooperation and joint coordination to increase opportunities and volume of financing, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Radaideh stressed the need to take the necessary measures to increase and expedite access to the GCF finance tools.
Radaideh discussed ways to expedite the accreditation process for the Cities and Villages Development Bank (CVDB), in order to become the first national entity GCF-accredited. Radaideh also highlighted national priorities included in the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC) document, and the sectoral green growth plans.
