AMMAN — Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour on Thursday stressed the government’s commitment to assisting retired servicemen, expressing gratitude for their service and continued sacrifices for the Kingdom.
During a visit to the Economic and Social Association of Retired Servicemen and Veterans (ESARSV), the premier underscored the importance of this sector, which involves thousands of Jordanians who are supporting a large segment of the Jordanian population.
He emphasised the challenges facing ESARSV, stressing the importance of its correctional measures to end previous financial and administrative troubles.
He pointed out that the ESARSV should strike a balance between its two main tasks: providing benefits for retired servicemen and meeting clients’ needs.
Through its programmes, ESARSV has provided security and protection jobs for more than 6,000 retirees.
