Engineers syndicate, employment fund sign agreement

AMMAN — The Jordan Engineers Association (JEA) and the National Training and Employment Fund has recently signed a cooperation agreement for training and employment.
The signing ceremony came on the sidelines of the training and employment programme for fresh engineering graduates held at the Labour Ministry.
The ministry’s secretary general, Hamadah Abu Nijmeh, who attended the event deputising for Labour Minister Nidal Katamine, commended the JEA for “exerting huge efforts to train fresh graduates”.
JEA President Abdullah Obeidat said that training companies hire 81 per cent of engineers who are trained under the programme.
