AMMAN — Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Saleh Kharabsheh on Wednesday met with UAE Minister of Energy and Infrastructure Suhail Mohamed Al Mazrouei over common interests and recent developments in the global energy market.
During an Abu Dhabi-held meeting, both sides emphasised the importance of increasing electrical interconnection among Arab countries, which would ease the establishment and management of electric power generation projects in each country and cut costs, a ministry statement issued on Wednesday said.
During his tour, Kharabsheh also visited the Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) in Dubai, and discussed means of advancing cooperation in logistics and investment with the company’s CEO, Saif Humaid Al Falas. The minister visited the UAE to attend the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week as well as the meeting of the International Renewable Energy Agency’s General Assembly (IRENA Assembly).
