Election body chief says IEC ‘open to other experiences’

AMMAN — President of the Independent Elections Commission (IEC) Riyadh Shakaa on Wednesday underlined the commission’s commitment to institutionalise its partnerships with political parties, civil society organisations and the media.
During a meeting with British Ambassador to Jordan Peter Millett, the IEC chief noted that the agency is open to other countries’ experience in managing and supervising elections.
The diplomat commended the commission’s work and role in the Kingdom’s political reform process.
