AMMAN — Education Minister Tayseer Nueimi on Monday issued directives to form an ad hoc committee to oversee the administrative and financial affairs of the Jordan Teachers Association (JTA) with the chairmanship of the ministry’s Secretary General for Educational Affairs Nawwaf Ajarmeh.
The committee held its first meeting and outlined its vision for the next phase to preserve teachers’ rights and safeguard the assets of the syndicate, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Forming the committee follows a decision by the attorney general office to suspend the JTA council members and halt its operations for two years.
