Education Malaysia Jordan selects 4 Malaysian researchers to participate in research mobility programme in Jordan

AMMAN — Education Malaysia Jordan, in collaboration with Attarat Power Company (APCO), on Monday brought four Malaysian lecturers to participate in a research mobility programme in Jordan.
The two-week research mobility programme has opened opportunities for the four lecturers to conduct fieldwork at APCO and build professional networks with industry experts in the country, according to a statement made available to The Jordan Times.
Mohd Azmir Mohd Nizah, the director of Education Malaysia Division, said the Education Malaysia Division fully supports research internationalisation efforts and academic and industry collaborations through its overseas offices like Education Malaysia Jordan, which facilitate such efforts and partnerships.
Education Malaysia Jordan received 56 applications from Malaysian lecturers to join the research mobility programme.
APCO has selected the four applicants according to their respective expertise, namely Jasrul Jamani Jamian (Universiti Teknologi Malaysia), Siti Hawa Mohamed Salleh (Universiti Malaysia Perlis), Lidyana Roslan (Universiti Malaysia Sarawak) and Nurzuliza Jamirsah (Polytechnic Nilai).
Zaimira Zulkfili, the Chargé D’Affaires at the Malaysian embassy in Jordan, said the research mobility programme, held for the first time, helps increase the visibility of Malaysian lecturers in Jordan and reflects good relations between the countries.
