Edraak online platform marks 4th anniversary

AMMAN — Edraak Platform, one of the initiatives of the Queen Rania Foundation for Education and Development, on Wednesday marked its fourth anniversary, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Edraak is a leading online platform for Arabic open education. Launched in 2004, Edraak aims to create a leap change in the access and outreach of education in the Arab World through utilising technology to provide innovative solutions, modern educational experiments for adults and school students.
The number of learners through the platform has reached 1.6 million from across the world. Meanwhile the number of curriculum provided has amounted to 86 in various fields including engineering, health and entrepreneurship. During the past 4 year, Edraak issued 186,056 certificates.
For the platform’s Facebook page, the number of followers has reached 2 million, said Petra.
