AMMAN — The State Security Court on Sunday sentenced a convicted drug dealer to 10 years in prison with hard labour and a fine of JD10,000, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. The court also confiscated Captagon pills in the convict’s possession and seized his vehicle.
The Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) caught the drug dealer after receiving a tip about his activities. An undercover AND officer, posing as a buyer, obtained 15,500 Captagon pills from the drug dealer in Ramtha District. The drug dealer fled the scene and was arrested by the AND the next day.
