DoS starts preparatory stage for population census

AMMAN — The Department of Statistics (DoS) has started the preparatory stage for the 2015 national population and housing census, which is scheduled to end by mid-October.

During a meeting of the media committee, DoS Director Qasem Zu’bi said the first stage will include training project workers on the sampling process, highlighting the importance of raising awareness on the 2015 census and its goals.

He stressed that all the collected information will be confidential. The current preparatory stage will last for around three months, he said.
