AMMAN — The Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship has launched the “Jordan Growth Programme (Businesses Development)", offering grants and incentives to enhance digital companies’ expansion in local and global markets.
The "Jordan Growth Programme" is part of the $200-million World Bank-funded "Youth, Technology and Jobs" project launched by the government two months ago to improve the income generated by the Jordanian digital sector and expand e-government services, the ministry said in a statement cited by the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
The project’s programmes and incentives will help in stimulating supply and demand in the digital industry over five years, the statement added, noting that the programme will finance 50 per cent of private technology enterprises' business development plans towards creating new job opportunities for young Jordanians.
