Deputising for King, Princess Miriam attends Orthodox Christmas Mass in Bethlehem

AMMAN — Deputising for His Majesty King Abdullah, HRH Princess Miriam Ghazi, alongside Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, on Friday evening attended the Orthodox Christmas Midnight Mass held at the Church of the Nativity in West Bank city of Bethlehem. 

Speaking at the event, Princess Miriam conveyed His Majesty’s greetings to Christians in Palestine on the occasion of Christmas, who follow the Eastern Orthodox calendar, wishing them a year full of security and peace, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. 

During the mass, the Patriarch of the Holy City of Jerusalem and All Palestine and Jordan, Kyrios Theophilos III, said that Christians pray for peace and prosperity in the world, mainly in the Middle East, wishing happiness for Christians in the holy land and beyond.
