AMMAN — The Decentralisation Law is essential for Jordan’s comprehensive reform process, Interior Minister Mazen Qadi said Thursday. Inaugurating a workshop dubbed “The Decentralisation Law: theory and practice”, Qadi said the legislation seeks to identify governorates’ priorities and needs, preparing development and investment plans and improving the quality of services presented to citizens at the local level.
Ministries’ secretaries general, governors and specialists are taking part in the three-day event organised by the Interior Ministry to discuss issues related to the law, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
