Customs personnel seize thousands of smuggled goods in November

AMMAN — Thousands of smuggled goods were seized by the Anti-Smuggling Department’s customs personnel in November, according to an official statement carried by the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
The Jordan Customs Department (JCD) said that 56,000 packs of cigarettes, 6,503 litres of alchohol, 6,130kg of foodstuffs, 7,521 articles of clothing, 7,033 pairs of shoes, 547 spare parts, 3,700 packages of cosmetics, 4,050kg of charcoal and two live hawks were confiscated from smugglers.
Director of the JCD Abdul Majeed Rahamneh highlighted the professional role of JCD personnel who contributed to protecting and supporting the national economy.
