AMMAN — HRH Crown Prince Hussein, on the occasion of Labour Day on Wednesday, visited a leading Jordanian start-up specialising in the manufacture of medical equipment which has provided 70 job opportunities for Jordanians from various governorates, 60 per cent of whom are women.

Crown Prince Hussein’s visit is in line with his keenness to build the capacities of Jordanian youth in the fields of creativity and innovation, as well as technical and professional skills, according to a Royal Court statement.

The company, which exports 94 per cent of its products to international markets, manufactures medical equipment, including transparent teeth aligners using state-of-the-art software and 3D printing equipment, and serves more than 1,000 certified doctors in 11 countries.

Additionally, the company plans to provide around 30 new jobs in the coming months, the statement said.

This company was one of the 27 Jordanian start-ups among the top 100 in the region selected by the World Economic Forum this year, according to the statement.
