CPF, Education Ministry ink deal to sustain Haqiq initiative

AMMAN — The Crown Prince Foundation (CPF) and the Education Ministry have recently signed a cooperation agreement to sustain Haqqiq, a CPF initiative that seeks to enhance "effective citizenship and the concepts of qualitative voluntary work". 

The agreement seeks to activate Haqiq initiative within the programmes and activities of the ministry and embark on the gradual implementation of the initiative's activities in all schools across the Kingdom through allocating 20 per cent of the activities programme of the accredited curriculum, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Under the deal, signed by CPF CEO Tamam Mango and Education Minister Tayseer Nuaimi, the CPF offers the training curriculum of Haqiq to the ministry after training its employees to continue implementing the initiative as required.

Mango stressed that the aim of sustaining Haqiq within the ministry is to expand the initiative and enhance its activities, out of the belief of the foundation in the importance to spread the benefit among the largest number of students.

Nuaimi said that the ministry has been keen on activating partnership with civil society organisations and initiatives, such as Haqiq, which target the Jordanian youth in a bid to build "a bright future for the Kingdom".

Haqiq activities target young people who are 12 years old and above through providing them with the necessary leadership skills that can build their personalities through stimulating physical, mental and emotional growth.

A total of 194,000 students have benefitted from the initiative since its establishment in 2012, where these beneficiaries have contributed to training more than 1,500 trainers in local communities across the Kingdom, Petra added.
